How to deal with difficulties?

Despite your career running smooth, your inbox empty, and your to-do list ticked off, things might not run smoothly all the time. At some point in our lives, each and everyone has faced some difficulties at work no matter the field. Lyconet offers you the perfect tools and infrastructure to support you on your path to success, but that does not mean that you will not feel challenged sometimes. As you know, you decide how much time and effort you put into your Career and therefore you should establish a good strategy and proper routine. But how you do it is all that is up to you.

Plenty Lyconet Presidents define the difficulties they met as challenges and opportunities to learn something new, develop, and grow professionally. And this is absolutely the right attitude! No one has ever succeeded by giving up after the first obstacle. Many people are terrified of failure, but failure is an illusion, and nothing can stop you if you are dedicated. If you want to learn more on that topic, have a look at our previous article Failure is an illusion.

Defining a difficulty might be hard because people are very different and, thus, they perceive an issue strictly individual. For example, a small discomfort for one might be a huge problem for another or vice versa. But the question here is: How to deal with difficulty? In case you are curious, here are 4 tips for you.

    1. Have a positive attitude

Having a positive mindset is the absolute rule and the right approach. At work, just like in life, we cannot expect everything to be perfect. And very often the bigger the dream, the greater the problems. Be open for any lesson your Career throws at you and try to make the best out of it because at the end of the day it will only make you stronger.

    1. Take time to adjust

Sometimes in the heat of the moment, we cannot think clearly and therefore we should take some time away to accept what is happening. Regardless of the scale of the obstacle, we should take a step back and think before taking an action. Being calm and rational will benefit you in every situation.

    1. Narrow down the issue

Once we start thinking about the difficulty that we are having, we should not let it overwhelm us. Start asking questions until you get into the root of it. Discuss it with your team to find out if you have grasped the whole dimension of the issue. Break the problem down into smaller pieces and come up with the proper strategy for your next moves. Start to work on it step by step and you will not even notice when all your worries are gone and voila – you have overcome another challenge.

    1. Ask for help

Many of us are working in a team and it does not matter if you are the Team Leader or not, humans are social beings, and we are ought to help each other. The importance of a team is not to be underestimated. After resolving a problem together, the team will build solid trust and a feeling of safety. By discussing and brainstorming, the solution might be simply resolved within minutes and might not seem so scary anymore.

As a Lyconet Marketer, you should keep those tips in mind and never be afraid of challenges, because as Roy T. Bennett says:

“When things do not go your way, remember that every challenge — every adversity — contains within it the seeds of opportunity and growth.”
