For already 14 years, Heidemarie Kipperer is part of the myWorld group, which has a close connection with Lyconet. Since August 2021, she devotes herself with heart and passion to the two charitable associations Child & Family Foundation and Greenfinity Foundation as a chairwoman. In an interesting interview, she told us what motivated her to occupy this position and what goals she follows with the two associations.
What do the Child & Family Foundation and the Greenfinity Foundation stand for?
The Child & Family Foundation initiates projects for children and families in need. These include many topics, but primarily they are aimed at children’s access to education. However, we humans not only need material things to survive – and the Child & Family Foundation also considers that. The Greenfinity Foundation is actively committed to the preservation of the earth’s natural habitats, environmental protection as well as the protection of species – very important topics at the present time.
Have you already supported charitable projects prior to your activity as chairwoman of the two associations? If yes, which ones?
To help people in need and to make a special effort to protect the environment is and has always been a matter very close to my heart. During my time at myWorld, I was also able to implement a lot of wonderful projects in Austria with both associations. The best experiences were the annual Children’s Flight Days for and with physically disabled children and adolescents. Their eyes sparkled with excitement, and this was just overwhelming for me.
What were your motivations for supervising the two associations as chairwoman?
It was a great honor for me to undertake this task. As a proud mom of two wonderful girls, thankfulness, passion, and compassion are very important values for me, and I would like to transfer them to my children’s personal lives. I want to serve as a role model for them – also on a professional level by working as chairwoman of both associations.
What projects are you currently working on with the Child & Family Foundation and the Greenfinity Foundation?
The current situation in Eastern Europe of course requires our full attention as well as our commitment. More than ever before is it up to us to help people in need. Thanks to the collaboration with numerous committed cooperation partners – including Lyconet as well as different myWorld Partners –, we can strongly support the people with donations in kind, financial means, and expertise.
The fundraising campaign in favor of the people in Eastern Europe is a great success. Which support measures are planned in the future? How can one help?
It touches my heart to see that so many people are supporting our work. Many families need follow-up support, and the children need the opportunity to process what they have experienced. The people need medical attention and support regarding their education and further training. To be able to help them in the best possible way, we need financial means – and every contribution helps. Which projects are planned for this year?
On the part of the Child & Family Foundation, seven other school projects in Austria, Romania, Hungary, and Mexico are planned. There we would like to actively promote further development and highlight new important topics. I am planning three nature conservation projects with the Greenfinity Foundation focusing on preserving the diversity of species and the earth’s natural habitats. All these are extremely exciting new projects, which are also proven very popular among our supporters.
Both associations perform outstanding work – not only on a national level but also on an international one. How can the Child & Family Foundation and the Greenfinity Foundation be supported in general?
I am very proud that I can implement so many projects worldwide together with my two small teams. For this, I would like to thank all our cooperation partners and supporters on behalf of the two associations.
